What is the difference between your two products: Backlit scenes and vinyl murals?
Backlit murals are mounted to 1/4" thick sheet Lexan hard plastic. They're durable, sealed from water and UV resistant. Backlit scenes are displayed either in a fluorescent lit shadow box or hung on a rolling track that allows the image to move freely from side to side or front to back. Vinyl murals are also UV / water resistant. They come shipped in a roll for mounting to your wall with either commercial wallpaper paste or staples with molding.
Is it possible to place these images in exterior windows?
Our murals are made using the highest quality dyes for unsurpassed color, giving the genuine look of dazzling stained glass. Our scenes last for years as they are protected by a special UV light inhibitor. The ideal spot for our scenes is behind your baptistery away from direct sunlight or in a back-lit ceiling light. For jobs needing exterior windows, we now offer a new and exciting new product, Illuminado Window film, this product is specifically designed for such projects and is inexpensive and beautiful.
Why should I choose your murals over real stained glass?
Our murals gives you the authentic look of stained glass without the high costs. Our murals are a lot more durable. Such images in comparable stained glass may cost anywhere from 5 to 10 times the cost of one of our our murals. In backlit shadow boxes we have found that 99 out of 100 churches prefer our scenes over stained glass.
How many pieces will there be?
There are situations when our images need to be split into pieces due to materials used. Any size is possible. We've had images as large as 30 feet. On backlit scenes we supply a bronze aluminum "H" bar needed to connect and support the pieces. This bar doesn't detract from the beauty of the scene. Vinyl murals come with extra few inches overlap on each piece. When installed these seams are barely visible up close and invisible from a distance.
I have a wide baptistery opening but most of your images pictures are vertically designed. Would you be able to transform a particular image to fit my specific size?
Yes. Any size can be made. However, there may be an extra charge for special sizes and custom designs. Many designs pictured here already have wide versions available. Limited website space keeps us from showing them all. We are willing to do whatever it takes to provide to you the size you need.
Do you produce custom work?
Certainly, we pride ourselves on accommodating the most discriminating customers. We work diligently to help each church with designs, logos and colors to match each sanctuary.
I'm interested but need a price and turnaround time. Can you help me?
Yes. If you'd like an estimate just give us a call. Turnaround time on average is about 3 weeks. Shipment for backlits is by freight truck. Murals are shipped UPS.
